For those who have been before and remember Otters Landing, we are sorry to say that it was destroyed in the floods of 15 June 2023 and has not as het been replaced

Dixon's View is a Self Catering unit - This open plan design river cabins sleep 4 people in an open plan up/down format, equipped with fridge, microwave, oven, and small induction hot plate and all the little extras that a normal kitchen requires. There is also a beautiful fireplace inside and braai facilities outside. Linen and towels are supplied. This abins is very popular for its situation, charm and atmosphere that it provides.

Whiskey Yankee

Self Catering Accommodation – “Whiskey Yankee” This is the phonetic aviation language used by pilots flying over the Whiskey Yankee beacon near Wolseley. “Whiskey Yankee” is their language for the first and last letters of Wolseley. This unit is a larger self-catering unit with a full bathroom, queen size bed, a double bunk bed and a fold out couch bed in the lounge. It is ideal for a family of 4 or 5/6 people. It’s construction is of brick and mortar and also has a lovely wooden deck facing the mountains. There is also an indoor fireplace and outdoor braai facilities. You can witness the most magnificent sunsets from the deck of Whiskey Yankee. The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge, microwave, oven, and small induction hotplate and all the little extras that a normal kitchen requires. This unit is beautifully decorated and has a true holiday atmosphere about it.

Guest Room One

Guest Room One is one of two double rooms near the main homestead and has private entrance, parking and outdoor space. There is a kingsize bed which could be made into twins on request. It has a fireplace for the winter months. This room is surrounded by stunning mountain views. This unit has a coffee station, a fridge and microwave oven, but is not ideal for self-catering. This unit is great for the working executive who needs a desk and wifi. It also serves well for the guests attending weddings or functions in the area.

Guest Room Two

Guest Room 2 is one of two double rooms near the main homestead and has private entrance, parking and outdoor space. The king bed can be made into twin beds on request if required. This room is surrounded by stunning mountain views. This room has a small kitchenette with undercounter fridge, microwave and induction hotplate and kettle for minor self-catering needs. It is also fitted with a small desk which is ideal for the working executive or overnight guest attending functions in the area.

Facilities

Enjoy wading in the crystal clear river pools or a game of tennis on our garden court (at the main house). There are fantastic walks on the farm and excellent hiking in the surrounding mountains. Bird watching is brilliant and fishing exceptional!! A new addition is a flow trail and pump track for cycling enthusiasts at the Creative Hub across the road. There are nice short mountain walks starting and finishing there too.

The highly sought after wedding and function venue, the “Olive Rock” is situated on the banks of the river with beautiful mountain views. The professional Chef Nick, is a home grown product who trained in Cape Town and gained invaluable experience in London. The Creative Hub across the road, is a wonderful space where you can find great fresh sourdough breads, wonderful Pappaslick pies, now becoming famous and made by Chef Nick at Olive Rock. There is a variety of cheeses, pickles and deli items and we have a license to sell local brews and wines so you do not need to stock up in the city before leaving.
