Self Catering Accommodation – “Whiskey Yankee”  This is the phonetic aviation language used by pilots flying over the Whiskey Yankee beacon near Wolseley. “Whiskey Yankee” is their language for the first and last letters of Wolseley. This unit is a larger self-catering unit with a full bathroom, queen size bed, a double bunk bed and a fold out couch bed in the lounge. It is ideal for a family of 4 or 5/6 people. It’s construction is of brick and mortar and also has a lovely wooden deck facing the mountains. There is also an indoor fireplace and outdoor braai facilities. You can witness the most magnificent sunsets from the deck of Whiskey Yankee. The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge, microwave, oven, and small induction hotplate and all the little extras that a normal kitchen requires. This unit is beautifully decorated and has a true holiday atmosphere about it.

Guest Room One is one of two double rooms near the main homestead and has private entrance, parking and outdoor space. There is a Four poster double bed and fireplace for the winter months. This room is surrounded by stunning mountain views.  This unit has a coffee station, but is not ideal for self-catering.

Guest Room 2 is one of two double rooms near the main homestead and has private entrance, parking and outdoor space. The king bed can be made into twin beds on request if required. This room is surrounded by stunning mountain views. This room has a small kitchenette with undercounter fridge, microwave and induction hotplate and kettle for minor self-catering needs.

Enjoy wading in the crystal clear river pools or a game of tennis on our garden court (at the main house). There are fantastic walks on the farm and excellent hiking in the surrounding mountains. Bird watching is brilliant and fishing exceptional!! A new addition is a flow trail and pump track for cycling enthusiasts at the Creative Hub across the road. There are nice short mountain walks starting and finishing there too.

The highly sought after wedding and function venue, the “Olive Rock” is situated on the banks of the river with beautiful mountain views. The professional Chef Nick, is a home grown product who trained in Cape Town and gained invaluable experience in London. The Creative Hub across the road, is a wonderful space where you can find great fresh sourdough breads, wonderful Pappaslick pies, now becoming famous and made by Chef Nick at Olive Rock. There is a variety of cheeses, pickles and deli items and we have a license to sell local brews and wines so you do not need to stock up in the city before leaving.
